Laurent Combier Rouge, Domaine Combier

Laurent Combier Crozes-Hermitage is produced with Laurent’s sons, and this cuvée has always been dedicated to expressing a more approachable style of Syrah. Prevalent in French bistros and restaurants, it is the entry point of the Combier range and a perfect introduction to Northern Rhone Valley wines.

TASTING NOTE

Laurent Combier Rouge expresses aromas of dried thyme, raspberries, bay leaves, mushrooms, lard, smoke, bark, black olives, and hot stones. It’s smooth, velvety, fruity, juicy, racy, and smoky with a punchy character. Very characteristic of Syrah with some dark fruits and dark cherries. Smoky but slightly spicy with some roasted peppercorns and cloves undertones. It’s medium-bodied with a gentle texture, no wood, silky ripe tannins, and a core of fruits that brighten the palate. Precise and charming to the finish.
